Rejuvenating Your Skin

The presence of fine lines and wrinkles on the face is often a sure sign of someone’s age. Both men and women suffer from mild to severe wrinkles and the presence of these creases in the skin can be disheartening. Fighting against dynamics such as environmental factors and loss of collagen, elastin and fat pads, the aging process takes place and gradually weakens your strong and supple skin. These factors give rise to the appearance of wrinkles. Now, you can have smooth and firm skin that is free of wrinkles and fine lines with MaVie’s Xeomin treatment.

Xeomin vs Botox

Like Botox, Xeomin is an FDA-approved cosmetic neuromodulator. Xeomin contains botulinum type A, which blocks nerve signals from firing to the muscles. It is designed to relax the muscles into which it is injected; thus improving the appearance of dynamic wrinkles and fine lines. It is also used to prevent the worsening of static wrinkles. One of the benefits of Xeomin is that it provides a natural looking result and is well tolerated by patients with no down time.

Get rid of facial wrinkles including crow’s feet, horizontal lines across the forehead, and the unsightly 11’s commonly seen between the brows.

The Procedure

The procedure starts with a consultation. Your satisfaction, comfort, and safety is the number one priority to our medical providers at MaVie Med Spa. It is for this reason that we take extra time with you to discuss your goals and what options you have when it comes to receiving neurotoxin/neuromodulator injections like Xeomin.

After cleansing the sites to be treated, our medical staff will carefully map out the sites to be injected based on the results you are trying to achieve. Xeomin is then injected into the identified muscles of the face in minute quantities.

What to Expect After
Your Xeomin Injections

After the procedure, you are asked to avoid lying flat for a few hours and avoiding any compression to the treated area (headbands, hats, massages, etc). Ensure appropriate infection precautions by temporarily avoiding excessive sweating and touching your face. It is recommended to avoid alcohol for 24 hours and any blood thinning agents such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen prior to and immediately after your injections.

Typical onset of neurotoxins like Xeomin is approximately 7 days, with the full onset being at about two weeks. You will be seen again at the two week mark to receive any touch up needed and to evaluate the effects of the prescribed dosing. At MaVie, we understand every face is different. Because of this, it is important to come to your two week follow-up so we can document outcomes of injections performed. Once we identify dosing of optimal results, we can maintain these results every 3-4 months.
